JUNIOR WORKERS. No junior workers will be employed on a rate less than the award prescribed percentage of the adult classification of Production Employee Level 3. The appropriate rate will be as prescribed in this agreement.

JUNIOR WORKERS. In classifications for which no apprenticeship is provided, one junior worker will be allowed to each four adult workers or fraction thereof.
JUNIOR WORKERS. (1) Subject to the provisions of the Liquor Act, 1970, male and female workers under the age of eighteen years may be employed as junior workers in any of the occupations covered by this agreement, other than an apprenticeship trade, in the proportion of one junior to every two or fraction of two adult workers, not being less than one adult worker, employed in the same occupation. Provided that this ratio may be altered by written agreement between the union and the employer concerned.
JUNIOR WORKERS. 16.6.1 The terms of this Agreement shall apply to unapprenticed juniors except where otherwise stated or where special provisions are stated to apply.
JUNIOR WORKERS. The following provisions shall apply to the employment of junior workers:-

  • Shift Workers All shift workers (i.e. workers whose shift commences at or after the end of the ordinary day work hours) presenting for work when the temperature is at or over 35°C will remain on site in air conditioned amenities for a minimum two hours, holding themselves available to commence work should the temperature fall below 35°C.

  • VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENT WORKERS The Employer will utilize volunteers and student workers only to the extent they supplement and do not supplant bargaining unit employees. Volunteers and student workers will not supervise bargaining unit employees.

  • Shiftworkers 35.1 Shiftworker for the purposes of this clause is defined as an Employee who performs Shiftwork and who starts or finishes a shift outside of the ordinary hours set out at clause 34.2 above.

  • Discrimination Prohibited No employee in the bargaining unit shall be appointed, reduced, removed, or in any way favored or unlawfully discriminated against because of his/her political opinions or affiliations, or because of race, national origin, religion, or marital status and, to the extent prohibited by law, no person shall be unlawfully discriminated against because of age, sex or physical handicap.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Occupational First Aid Requirements and Courses (a) The Union and the Employer agree that First Aid Regulations made pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act shall be fully complied with.

  • ANTI-DISCRIMINATION i) It is the intention of the parties to seek to achieve the object in section 3 (f) of the Industrial Relations Xxx 0000 to prevent and eliminate discrimination in the workplace. This includes discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, material status, disability, homosexuality, transgender identity and age or responsibilities as a carer.

  • Accommodations of Spiritual or Cultural Observances Where an employee observes a cultural/spiritual day other than those listed above, the employee shall submit their request in January of each year for the twelve (12) month period following March 1st, identifying the required date they need off.

  • Safe Workplace A) The Employer and employees recognize the need for a safe and healthful workplace and agree to take appropriate measures in order that risks of accidents and/or occupational disease are reduced and/or eliminated. Employers will take all reasonable steps to eliminate, reduce and/or minimize threats to the safety of employees.

  • Fair Employment Practices and Americans with Disabilities Act Party agrees to comply with the requirement of Title 21V.S.A. Chapter 5, Subchapter 6, relating to fair employment practices, to the full extent applicable. Party shall also ensure, to the full extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, that qualified individuals with disabilities receive equitable access to the services, programs, and activities provided by the Party under this Agreement. Party further agrees to include this provision in all subcontracts.
