Journeymen and Apprentices. 19.01 Trades Work A journeyman shall be made available to oversee the digging of holes, the framing and erecting of poles and towers, in situations where electrical hazards may be encountered. Journeymen and apprentices shall perform the stringing of overhead wires and aerial cables, the hanging of transformers, street and ornamental lighting and signal heads; and maintaining, splicing and terminating underground cables, flame proofing on underground energized cables, and splicing of all metallic sheathed and shielded cables on overhead systems. Non-trades personnel may proceed to install pre-wired street light heads where an electrical journeyman has completed a thorough hazard assessment of the worksite. Any breakers, contactors, electric eyes or other such devices feeding the circuit must be set in a de-energized position/state and clearly marked/tagged. (“Lock-out” being the preferred method if practical). Such hazard assessment shall be in force for 15 calendar days.
Journeymen and Apprentices. A. JOURNEYMEN: A Journeyman is a skilled meat cutter who has either served his apprenticeship in accordance with a period of time as set forth in this Agreement, or who has otherwise qualified as a skilled meat cutter. His skills shall consist of the ability to receive, handle, prepare, cut, cure, grind, slice, process, wrap, display and sell meat, poultry sausage or fish, whether frozen, chilled, cooked, smoked, barbequed or irradiated, and the performance of all work incidental thereto including the clean­ ing of all power equipment and tools. As a part of his duties he may be required to perform any or all of the above listed functions.
Journeymen and Apprentices. 1. Apprentices and trainees will convert from existing percentages of the previous Journeyman's rate to same percentage of new Journeyman's rate. The wage progression schedules currently in use will continue until changed by appropriate means.

  • STUDENTS AND APPRENTICES Payments which a student or business apprentice who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5.   • Adult Apprentices People who are 21 years of age or over at the time of entering into an apprenticeship with the Employer will be paid as per the wage rates set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement. Where special or unusual circumstances occur or apply and where the parties to this Agreement and the adult apprentice agree in writing, the adult apprentice may be paid at a lesser rate, provided that the lesser rate will not be less than the rate for a junior apprentice set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement.

  • Internships The Hospital may establish internships for the purpose of meeting future projected nursing shortages and/or providing career opportunities where there are no internal qualified candidates for job postings. In such circumstances, the implementation and guidelines of such an arrangement will be determined locally by the Hospital and the Union subject to the following: Internships are designed to develop the Hospital’s staff in order to fill positions for which there are currently no qualified internal candidates and/or for which shortages are predicted within a five (5) year period. Internships enable hospitals to maximize the use of qualified internal staff to meet their human resources needs, while at the same time providing career development opportunities for their employees. To provide direction to the local parties in developing and implementing internship(s) the Ontario Nurses’ Association and Participating Hospitals have agreed to the following principles:

  • Apprenticeship 7.01 At such time, the parties agree to a training program, it is agreed to contact the California Nevada JATC to establish such program.

Each Trustee appointed by the Union shall be a member of the Union and employed by the Union and each Management trustee shall be a salaried executive or officer of a signatory Employer, or an employee of an Employer association, on behalf of its member employers.

  • Apprenticeship Requirements The Contractor shall comply with Section 230.1(A), California Code of Regulations as required by the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards by submitting DAS Form to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the craft or trade in the area of the site.

  • Apprentice An apprentice is an em­ ployee who is in training to become a Jour­ xxxxxx Meat Cutter. Apprentices must be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Apprentices may be employed at a ratio of not exceeding three (3) for each seven (7) Journeymen employed by the Employer within the jurisdiction of the Local.   • Apprenticeship Program 68. The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs.
