Common use of Job Selection Clause in Contracts

Job Selection. Qualified employees who timely apply shall be given first consideration for all posted positions. For the purpose of this Section, “qualified” shall be judged by the Employer and defined as meaning the education, experience, and other related job criteria as set forth in the Employer’s job descriptions. In the event qualifications of those applying for the position are basically equal in the judgment of the Employer, seniority shall be controlling. Applicants who are not selected for an opening shall be notified by the Employer within a reasonable period of time.
