Common use of Initial Probation Clause in Contracts

Initial Probation. While on probation, employment may be terminated for any reason of general unsuitability by the Executive Director, written notice of the reasons for dismissal shall be provided. The employee will be given an opportunity to respond. The employee shall be informed of the right to have a Union representative present. A copy of the dismissal notice shall be sent concurrently to the Union office. Employees are restricted to grieving violations of 4.4 and 9.9 only.
