In-Lieu Discipline. By mutual agreement between the appointing authority or designee and the employee, an employee suspended from duty without pay may forfeit accumulated holiday, compensating time off, and/or vacation credits equal to the number of hours of suspension in lieu of such suspension. If the suspension is reduced or reversed at the conclusion of the appeal process, the City shall reinstate the forfeited credits. This provision shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
