Common use of Holiday Closure between Christmas and New Year’s Day Clause in Contracts

Holiday Closure between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The District will provide one (1) additional day of personal business leave to be used during the holiday closure between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Each employee is required to use two (2) vacation/personal leave days during this time period. If there is a District need for an employee to work during the holiday closure, then the personal business leave will be allowed to be taken during a day mutually agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. New hires and employees with special circumstance (such as extended medical leave and maternity leave) will be permitted to carry a negative leave balance until such balance is restored.
