Common use of Further Study Clause in Contracts

Further Study. An extended leave of absence for further study may be granted for approved courses of study for not less than 20 hours of credit for the school year. Teachers failing to comply with this requirement will not be entitled to leave of absence benefits. This leave of absence may be extended for two successive school years. Requests for leave of absence for further study submitted after June 30 will not be granted. Requests to return from extended leave for study should be accompanied by an official transcript showing successful completion of 20 hours of college credit during a year's leave or showing such courses in progress.
