Common use of Full Year Sabbatical Leave Clause in Contracts

Full Year Sabbatical Leave. The administrator who receives a year's Sabbatical Leave executes a promissory note in the amount of the half pay due him for the period of the year's Sabbatical Leave payable to the Board of Education and bearing a due date of the first day of the semester following the completion of the year's Sabbatical Leave. If he fails to return to work in Garden City at the following semester, the full value of the note comes due on the first day of that semester. If the administrator returns and works one year but fails to work a second successive year after the completion of the Sabbatical Leave, then half of the face amount is forgiven but one-half (1/2) is then due the first day of the next semester when the school system's teachers report for duty.
