The 'Full-Time Regular' clause defines the employment status of an individual as a permanent, ongoing employee who works a standard, full-time schedule as set by the employer. An employee hired to fill a part-time ongoing position vacated by a part- time regular employee or to fill a part-time position which is of a continuing nature. By agreement with the Union, the Employer may hire a casual to fill a position vacated by a part-time regular employee. Unless otherwise agreed with the Union, part-time regular employees will work according to an assigned regular schedule but will not work more than thirty (30) hours per week. In addition a part-time regular employee may relieve a full-time employee on leave of absence, training, sick leave, days or annual vacation without change to full-time regular status. The employee will participate in Benefit Plans in accordance with Article and in the Pension Plan. Sick leave and annual vacation entitlements shall be prorated on the basis of time worked according to service. Statutory holiday pay shall be paid each pay period on the basis of the appropriate percentage of gross earnings for that pay period. Part-time regular employees shall not be entitled to Reduced Work Week Leave provisions as provided in Article of the Agreement but will be entitled to of straight time base rate biweekly earnings as defined in Subsection paid on a biweekly basis in lieu of Reduced Work Week Leave. Part-time regular employees shall progress through salary steps on the basis of accumulated service.
