Common use of For Added Work Clause in Contracts

For Added Work. Notwithstanding the failure of the University and the Contractor to agree as to the cost of the proposed Change Order, the Contractor, upon written order from the University, shall proceed immediately with the changed Work. A Construction Change Directive or letter signed by the University shall be used for this written order. At the start of each day’s Work on the change, the Contractor shall notify the University in writing as to the size of the labor force to be used for the changed Work and its location. Failure to so notify may result in the non-acceptance of the costs for that day. The Contractor shall maintain and furnish on demand of the University itemized statements of cost from all vendors and subcontractors who perform changed Work or furnish materials and equipment for such Work.
