Family Sick Leave – Sick Leave Use. 1. In case of serious illness of a member of the immediate family, the unit employee, upon proper notice, may take up to three (3) consecutive workdays of their accrued sick leave time.

Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.
Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:
Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:
Annual Paid Sick Leave Eighteen (18) days sick leave per year shall be earned by all full-time employees at the rate of one and one-half days for every month or part thereof that an employee is employed in such year provided that no sick leave shall be earned in any calendar month during which the employee is employed for less than ten (10) days.
