Common use of Family Member Illness Clause in Contracts

Family Member Illness. Up to three (3) days per year may be used for the critical illness of a member of the employee's "immediate family," which shall be defined as the employee's parent, spouse, child, or any relative who is a permanent resident of the employee's household. "Critical illness" shall be defined as a serious condition requiring the presence of the employee. The employer may require written verification from a physician. An additional two (2) days may be granted upon written request to the Superintendent.
