Family Allowances. 2. This Agreement shall apply to schemes of contributory and non-contributory benefits, including employers' obligations to compensate for employment injuries. It shall not apply to public assistance, special schemes for civil servants, or benefits paid in respect of war injuries or injuries due to foreign occupation.E+W+S+N.I.

  • INJURY ALLOWANCE 34.01 An employee injured on the job shall be paid for the balance of his or her shift on which the injury occurred if, as a result of such an injury, the employee is sent home by the Employer or is sent to an outside hospital and doctor at such hospital or the employee’s own doctor certifies that the employee should not return to work. The Employer will make available transportation for such injured employee.

  • LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE 27.1 For the purpose of this Clause, a “distant project” is one where the location of the “on-site project work” is such that because of its distance or because of the travelling facilities available to and from the location, it is reasonably necessary for an employee to live and sleep at some place other than his/her usual place of residence.

  • - Separation Allowances (a) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of twelve (12) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars.
