Common use of Extension of Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Extension of Entitlement. An employee may have her maternity leave extended up to six (6) additional weeks, to a maximum of twenty-four (24) weeks, upon written notice to the Employer. Such notice must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the extended leave.
