Common use of Extension of Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Extension of Entitlement. An employee may have her maternity leave extended up to six (6) additional weeks, to a maximum of twenty-four (24) weeks, upon written notice to the Employer. Such notice must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the extended leave.

Extension of Entitlement. An employee may have her maternity pregnancy leave extended up to six (6) additional weeksconsecutive weeks of unpaid leave, to a maximum of twenty-four three (2423) weeks, upon written notice for reasons related to the Employerbirth or termination of the pregnancy, if she is unable to return to work when her leave ends under Article 9.5(a) above. Such Written notice must be made given to the Employer at least two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the extended leave.
