- EXAMS AS A CONDITION OF ONGOING EMPLOYMENT. a. The District may require an employee at any time as a condition of continued employment, to undergo a medical examination to determine the mental or physical fitness of the employee to perform the duties of the job. The expense of the examination shall be borne by the District. The physician scheduled to conduct the examination shall be selected from the panel of Qualified Medical Evaluators (QME) maintained by the State of California, practicing in the medical specialty relevant to the employee.
