ELIGIBILITY FOR PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. (a) The Employer is entitled to deduct payment for any day or part day that the employee cannot be usefully employed because of any strike or any breakdown in machinery or any stoppage of work by any cause which ceases operation for which the Employer cannot be reasonably held responsible, as long as the Employer has no alternative work available on the Site.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. (a) The Company shall be under no obligation to pay for any day or part of a day not worked upon which the employee is required to present for duty, except when such absence is due to approved paid leave to which the employee is entitled under the provisions of this Agreement.
