Elementary Preparation Periods. Each K-8 teacher shall receive a minimum of four (4) preparation periods per week. Three forty five(45) minute preparation periods shall be within the regular school day. One (1) sixty (60) minute “Common” preparation period shall be on Wednesday. Students shall be dismissed sixty (60) minutes early each Wednesday, so as to provide for the one (1) sixty (60) minute “Common” preparation period.

Grades K-5 teachers shall have a preparation period of no less than forty (40) minutes per day when reasonably administratively possible.
