Effective Date of Contract and the Period of Performance. A. This agreement will commence on the date of last signature thereof (“the effective date”) and will terminate upon expiration of a period of five (5) years from the Service Commencement Date (SCD) (as defined in Section IX of Exhibit A), provided no options have been exercised by INTELSAT as envisaged in Article 2B below, and/or no other agreement has been reached between the parties, as evidenced in writing.
