Common use of Dues/Payroll Deduction Section 1) Dues Clause in Contracts

Dues/Payroll Deduction Section 1) Dues. Members of AAP have the right to payroll deduction of dues upon submission of a signed authorization. The authorization shall be continued year to year until written notice is given to the University by the member to cancel or change the authorization. The University will, in the month following the deduction, transmit the collected dues to AAP (or upon official AAP request, to another designee), accompanied by a list identifying the members and amount of dues paid by each member. In the event of an increase or decrease in the percentage amount of dues, the University shall implement the changes by the second pay period following official notice from AAP. If AAP changes the method of calculating dues or COPE deductions in such a way that requires programming to implement the change, AAP will pay the cost of such change. Costs and time frames for implementation will be determined in consultation with the EOU administration and the Controller’s Division payroll section. AAP will be notified in advance of the costs and time frame.
