DRAFTER’S NOTE Clause Samples

A Drafter’s Note is an annotation or comment included within a contract or legal document to provide guidance, clarification, or instructions to the person drafting or reviewing the document. These notes are not intended to be part of the final, binding agreement but instead offer context, suggest alternative language, or highlight issues that require attention. For example, a Drafter’s Note might remind the drafter to insert a specific date or to consider local legal requirements. The core practical function of a Drafter’s Note is to facilitate the drafting process by ensuring important considerations are addressed and to help prevent errors or omissions in the final document.
