Common use of Downward Reclassification of Position Clause in Contracts

Downward Reclassification of Position. (a) If an employee is reclassified to a lower rated position classification, the employee will have his/her wage rate frozen and will continue to be paid the rate of his/her old position until such time as the rate of his/her new position equals or exceeds the rate of his/her old position.
