Disinfection Preparation Sample Clauses

Disinfection Preparation. The Contractor shall conduct disinfection after construction of the well and all specified tests and video logging have been completed. The Contractor shall carry out adequate cleaning procedures immediately preceding disinfection where evidence indicates that normal well construction and development work have not adequately cleaned the well. All oil, grease, soil, and other materials, which could harbor and protect bacteria from disinfectants, shall be removed from the well. Unless prior approval is obtained for employing chemicals or unusual cleaning methods, the cleaning operation is to be carried out by pumping and swabbing only. Where test pumping equipment is to be utilized, such equipment shall be installed prior to or during disinfection and shall be thoroughly hosed, scrubbed or otherwise cleaned of foreign material prior to its installation into the well. The Contractor is responsible for removing or mitigating the effects of all materials introduced into the well during drilling, construction, development, and testing.
