Disciplinary Steps. Generally, discipline shall be progressive in nature according to the following steps: Step 1: First Written Warning Step 2: Second Written Warning Step 3: Final Written Warning in lieu of suspension Step 4: Dismissal Discipline shall generally advance from one step to the next of progressive discipline if the bargaining unit member engages in unwanted behavior within twelve (12) months of the previous disciplinary action. The above-listed progressive steps may be bypassed as appropriate based on the seriousness of the alleged misconduct.
