Disciplinary Appearance. A teacher shall have the right to be accompanied by a Union representative at any meeting with the Board or an administrator, if at the time such meeting is called it is reasonably anticipated that disciplinary action against the teacher might occur at or as a direct consequence of such meeting. The affected teacher shall be given reasonable advance written notice of such meeting and the nature of the possible disciplinary action. In the event the representative chosen is other than a Union representative, the Union President shall be given notice of any disciplinary action taken or recommended within a reasonable time following such meeting unless otherwise mandated by law. Except where such delay shall possibly consequentially affect the investigation or possibly be detrimental to students or other employees, reasonable advance notice shall be at least twenty-four (24) hours.
