Common use of Disaster Leave Clause in Contracts

Disaster Leave. ‌ Upon approval of the appointing authority, County Employees may donate accrued compensatory time and vacation leave to other County employees who have lost time during a Board of Supervisors’ declared state of emergency. Such donated time will not exceed the total amount of time lost by the receiving employee including vacation, compensatory time used and any unpaid leave incurred. Donations must be made no later than 90 days from the last day lost by the employee.
