Common use of Disability Phase Clause in Contracts

Disability Phase. Any tenured or non-tenured employee seeking a leave of absence on the basis of medical reasons associated with pregnancy or birth shall apply to the Board of Education. At the time of the application, which shall be made upon sixty (60) days notice to the Board, the employee shall specify in writing the date on which she wishes to return to work after the birth, except in the cases of stillbirth, in which case, the employee may elect to return to work at an earlier date.
