CPU Socket the number of CPU Sockets available for any instance of Software to operate on, where "CPU Socket" means a mechanical component that provides electrical connectivity between a microprocessor and a printed circuit board. If one or more instances of Software is installed for use on a virtual machine, then the number of CPU Sockets assigned to the virtual machine will be counted as available for such instance(s) of Software.
