Common use of Copies of Records in Personnel Files Clause in Contracts

Copies of Records in Personnel Files. A copy of any record or document which has been placed in and/or removed from the member’s personnel file shall be provided to the member at the time of its placement or removal, except where the record or document originates from the member or has been otherwise provided to the member. If removed, the copy shall be signed and dated. No anonymous material of any type shall be included in the member’s official personnel files, or files of any type. Any record, in any file created or maintained by the City, except those deemed confidential by the Ohio Public Records Act, shall be accessible to the member upon request.
