Common use of Continuing Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Continuing Responsibilities. An integral but separate part of evaluation of both tenured and non-tenured teachers is the continuous appraisal of their ability to meet the Performance Responsibilities. The evaluation of these standards will typically be made through routine informal contact and interaction between teachers and administrators. When problems are observed in these areas, the teacher will be contacted within ten (10) work days by the administrator to advise the teacher of the observed problem. If the problem continues or reoccurs, the administrator may prepare and issue written notice setting forth the specific deficiency with a copy to the teacher's personnel file. The teacher has the right, upon request, to a conference regarding such notice and to attach comments to the notice to be placed in the personnel file.
