Children with Special Health Care Needs. Children with special health care needs are those who have or are suspected of having a serious or chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional condition and who also require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that required by children generally. The Contractor will be responsible for performing all of the same activities for this population as for adults. In addition, the Contractor will implement the following for these children:
