Center Designated Projects in SMP. Research proposals solicited by each SMP Program Director will be reviewed and ranked by the responsible SMP Programs Faculty Advisory Committee as to the merits and responsiveness of the proposals to the Work Plan of the Program. The SMP Programs Industrial Advisory Boards will also independently review and rank the proposals and provide input to the decision-making process. In all cases, final project selection is contingent upon faculty availability and final approval of proposals and funding rests with the SMP and MRC Directors.

  • Sub-projects 1. The Participating Bank shall make Sub-loans to Beneficiaries and appraise, review, approve, and supervise Sub-projects in accordance with the criteria, conditions and procedures set forth in the Operations Manual, including, inter alia, the following eligibility criteria:

  • Foreign-Owned Companies in Connection with Critical Infrastructure If Texas Government Code, Section 2274.0102(a)(1) (relating to prohibition on contracts with certain foreign-owned companies in connection with critical infrastructure) is applicable to this Contract, pursuant to Government Code Section 2274.0102, Contractor certifies that neither it nor its parent company, nor any affiliate of Contractor or its parent company, is: (1) majority owned or controlled by citizens or governmental entities of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or any other country designated by the Governor under Government Code Section 2274.0103, or (2) headquartered in any of those countries.

  • Critical Infrastructure Subcontracts For purposes of this Paragraph, the designated countries are China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and any countries lawfully designated by the Governor as a threat to critical infrastructure. Pursuant to Section 113.002 of the Business and Commerce Code, Contractor shall not enter into a subcontract that will provide direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure, as defined by Section 113.001 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, in this state, other than access specifically allowed for product warranty and support purposes to any subcontractor unless (i) neither the subcontractor nor its parent company, nor any affiliate of the subcontractor or its parent company, is majority owned or controlled by citizens or governmental entities of a designated country; and (ii) neither the subcontractor nor its parent company, nor any affiliate of the subcontractor or its parent company, is headquartered in a designated country. Contractor will notify the System Agency before entering into any subcontract that will provide direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure, as defined by Section 113.001 of the Texas Business & Commerce Code, in this state.

  • Partnership Property All property, real, personal, tangible, intangible, or mixed, acquired by or contributed to the Partnership shall be owned by the Partnership and titled in its name and such property shall not be owned individually by any Partner. Each Partner acknowledges and agrees that the System and all elements thereof, are the exclusive property of the Company and are not Partnership property. Each Partner acknowledges and agrees that the Proprietary Marks are the exclusive property of the Company and are not Partnership property. Each Partner acknowledges and agrees that the Partnership shall not acquire or own any land or buildings.   • Solicitations for Subcontracts, Including Procurements of Materials and Equipment In all solicitations either by competitive bidding or negotiation made by the Engineer for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurements of materials or leases of equipment, each potential subcontractor or supplier shall be notified by the Engineer of the Engineer's obligations under this contract and the Regulations relative to nondiscrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.

  • Initiating Interconnection 4.1 If CBB determines to offer Telephone Exchange Services and to interconnect with Verizon in any LATA in which Verizon also offers Telephone Exchange Services and in which the Parties are not already interconnected pursuant to this Agreement, CBB shall provide written notice to Verizon of the need to establish Interconnection in such LATA pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Qualified Service Contracts - Rev Proc. 97-13. A Service Contract is considered to contain termination penalties if the termination limits the Recipient’s right to compete with the Service Provider, requires the Recipient to purchase equipment, goods or services from the Service Provider, or requires the Recipient to pay liquidated damages for cancellation of the Service Contract. Another contract between the Service Provider and the Recipient (for example, a loan or guarantee by the Service Provider) is considered to create a contract termination penalty if that contract contains terms that are not customary or arm’s length that could operate to prevent the Recipient from terminating the Service Contract. A requirement that the Recipient reimburses the Service Provider for ordinary and necessary expenses, or restrictions on the hiring by the Recipient of key personnel of the Service Provider are not treated as contract termination penalties. If the Recipient chooses to apply the following safe harbors, a Service Contract is a Qualified Service Contract if entered into before (and not materially modified after) August 18, 2017 and all of the following conditions are satisfied:
