BOTS Clause Samples

The "Bots" clause defines the rules and limitations regarding the use of automated software agents, or bots, within the context of an agreement or platform. Typically, this clause specifies whether bots are permitted, under what conditions they may interact with the system, and may require that bots identify themselves or comply with certain technical standards. For example, it might prohibit bots from scraping data or performing actions that could disrupt normal operations. The core function of this clause is to prevent misuse or abuse of automated tools, ensuring fair use and protecting the integrity and security of the platform or service.
BOTS. The Book on the Street (BOTS/PI) value represents the dollar amount of advertising revenue in the current product issue.
BOTS. Some Bots are included in the Software and are listed in Addendum 2 to ISOW. Any changes required to make these Bots functional after the initial Implementation phase (ISOW) are billable to the Customer. For example, if the Bank Reconciliation bot is working at the end of the Implementation phase, and the bank changes formats or the Customer changes banking relationships, then the Bot may cease to function. This will require a billable SOW to maintain usage of the Bot.
BOTS. The use of any software tool designed to automatically emulate the actions of a human user (also known as “robots” or “bots”) in connection with the Software or Services.
BOTS. For-That shall follow its standard archiving procedures for Customer Data from time to time. In the event of any loss or damage to Customer Data, the Customer's sole and exclusive remedy against Bots-For-That shall be for Bots-For-That to use reasonable commercial endeavours to restore the lost or damaged Customer Data from the latest back-up of such Customer Data maintained by Bots-For- That in accordance with its standard archiving procedure. Bots-For-That shall not be responsible for any loss, destruction, alteration or disclosure of Customer Data caused by any third party (except those third parties sub-contracted by Bots-For-That to perform services related to Customer Data maintenance and back-up for which it shall remain fully liable).
BOTS. BOTS is defined as a customer’s total revenue associated with current published/fulfilled products (print, digital, awareness, etc) attached to a single compensation cycle (total customer spend).
