Common use of Bilingual Stipends Clause in Contracts

Bilingual Stipends. 1 A. Occasional Translation Services 2 Unit members who perform occasional work with oral and/or written 3 translation and have passed the District’s bilingual competency 4 examination shall receive five percent (5%) above the unit member’s 5 hourly rate of pay for any hours the unit member spends performing 6 translation services. Unit members whose job descriptions require 7 bilingual competency are exempt from this differential pay rate.
