Bereavement. Leave with pay of up to five days per occurrence in accordance with University Policy will be granted to an employee for the purpose of attending a funeral or memorial service for a deceased member of the employee's immediate family, immediate household, or a deceased relative. Bereavement leave may only be used during the term of an employee's contract. Bereavement leave may not be accrued. Upon approval of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, an employee may use accrued sick leave for bereavement leave requirements in excess of five days.
