BEREAVEMENT AND COMPASSIONATE LEAVE. 24.02 (a) An employee requiring bereavement leave will, on request, be granted up to five (5) days' leave without deduction of pay, sick benefit or vacation entitlement in the case of death of a close family member or individual permanently residing in the employee's household. Where extensive travelling time is required or the employee is the executor of the estate, up to two (2) additional days shall be granted on request.
