Basic Entitlements. 23.4.12 7.7.2.1. After twelve months continuous service, parents are entitled to a combined total of 52 weeks unpaid parental leave (paid and unpaid) on a shared basis in relation to the birth or adoption of their child. For the primary carer of the child, primary carer parental leave may be taken and for partners, partner leave may be taken. Adoption leave may be taken in the case of adoption.
