Article Title: Payroll Deduction of Dues. The Employer agrees to accept and honor voluntary written assignments of wages or salaries due employees covered by this Agreement for Association dues, initiation fees, or agency shop fees. The amounts to be deducted, or any changes in such deductions, shall be certified in writing to the Employer by an authorized officer of the Association, and at least thirty (30) days in advance of any such change. Association dues and assessments shall be deducted in equal installments twice monthly or twenty four (24) times per year. The aggregate deductions of all employees shall be remitted, together with an itemized statement, to the Helena Police Protective Association office by the 15th day of the succeeding month, after such deductions are made. The Association agrees to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless against any claim made or any suit instituted against the Employer as a result of the implementation of the provisions of this Article.
