Anniversary Dates and Continuous Service. Anniversary dates shall begin with the date of employment and will be the same date each year thereafter. Employees hired between the first (1st) and fifteenth (15th) of the month shall have an anniversary date of the first (1st) of the month. Employees hired on the fifteenth (15th of the month and later shall have an anniversary date of the first (1st) of the following month. Continuous service shall be service unbroken by separation from the City other than approved military leave, vacation or sick leave, or other qualified leaves.
