Advancement for Non-Longevity Steps. (i) The newly hired nurse shall be eligible for the first step advancement after completion of 1,040 hours (except per diem nurses newly hired into bargaining Unit positions and nurses rehired into the bargaining Unit) and subsequent step advancements after completion of 2,080 hours. EXAMPLE 1 – A newly graduated nurse is hired as a Registered Nurse I – ARMC. The step progression for this nurse is as follows: Step Advancement Step Hire Step 1 After 1,040 Hours* 2 After 2,080 Hours* 3 After 2,080 Hours* 4 After 2,080 Hours* 5 After 2,080 Hours* 6 *Assumes satisfactory work performance and appointing authority recommendation.
