Common use of ACTING OFFICER Clause in Contracts

ACTING OFFICER. A firefighter who is assigned and accepts riding above class for a period of four (4) hours or more shall be compensated for their time to the nearest hour. This compensation shall be paid at the rate of $1.50 per hour more than the employee’s base rate. Eligible Employees shall have a minimum of 24 months in the rank of regular (non-probationary) Firefighter / Paramedic and is eligible for promotion to that position.
