Common use of Acting Capacity Clause in Contracts

Acting Capacity. Any bargaining unit employee filling in for another bargaining unit employee who is paid at a higher rate will be paid the higher rate for all time so worked totaling one half (1/2) hour or greater in a shift. Any employee who is required to temporarily substitute in a classification with a lower wage rate shall continue to be paid at the employee’s higher rate. The above will apply to all regular and casual employees when performing such duties.
