Common use of Accumulative Clause in Contracts

Accumulative. All teachers employed shall be entitled to thirteen (13) sick leave days each year as of the first official day of said school year whether or not they report for duty on that day. Unused sick leave days shall be accumulated from year to year with no maximum limit. Effective July 1, 1999, all newly hired employees shall be entitled to ten (10) sick days per year. Upon reaching tenure in the district they will be entitled to thirteen (13) days per year from that point forward.

Effective July 1, 2008, all newly hired staff shall be entitled to ten (10) sick days per year. For all employees who are entitled to 13 sick leave days per year up to three (3) of those days may be used for family illness.
