TYPE OF HOUSING. Permanent rental housing for seniors aged 55 and over. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will consist of total rehabilitation and expansion of an existing school building to contain 79 apartment units for seniors. The unit mix will be 3 studios, 66 one bedroom and 10 two bedroom units.

DEVELOPMENT TYPE: New construction TENANT SERVICES: Vermilion will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a local lead agency and will submit a Targeting Plan for review and certification by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Additionally, an MOU between the developer, lead agency and management agent will include: 1. A commitment from the local lead agency to provide, coordinate and/or act as a referral agent to assure that supportive services will be available to the targeted tenants. 2. The referral and screening process that will be used to refer tenants to the project, the screening criteria that will be used, and the willingness of all the parties to negotiate reasonable accommodations to facilitate the admittance of person with disabilities into the project. 3. A communications plan between the project management and the local lead agency that will accommodate staff turnover and assure continuing linkages between the project and the local lead agency for the duration of the compliance period. ELIGIBLE TENANTS: Of the 60 affordable units, 15 must be made available to households with incomes at or below 30% of the Area Median Income, 10 must be made available to households with incomes at or below 50% of the Area Median Income with the remaining 35 restricted to households with incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median income. Six of the 60 units must be available to persons with disabilities or who are homeless. AFFORDABILITY

  • Multi-family housing means a building or structure that is designed to house two (2) or more different households in separate housing Units which have full kitchen facilities including oven/range, refrigerator, kitchen sink with hot and cold water supply and food storage facilities and at least one (1) full bathroom facility(s), one (1) full bedroom and one (1) living area (including a combination thereof such as studio arrangements).

  • Family day system means any person who approves family day homes as members of its system;

  • Adult day care means a program for six (6) or more individuals, of social and health-related services provided during the day in a community group setting for the purpose of supporting frail, impaired elderly or other disabled adults who can benefit from care in a group setting outside the home.

  • Special Needs beneficiary is one who needs additional time to complete his/ her education due to physical, mental or emotional limitations. In addition, as discussed below, a beneficiary may roll over contributions to another Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account until he or she attains age 30. Educational facility does not include items as books, fuel, supplies, or other items the costs of which are customarily deemed to result in a current operating charge and does not include any facility used or to be used for sectarian instruction or as a place of religious worship, nor a facility which is used or to be used primarily in connection with a part of the program of a school or department of divinity for a religious denomination.

  • Serialization within the enterprise identifier means each item produced is assigned a serial number that is unique among all the tangible items produced by the enterprise and is never used again. The enterprise is responsible for ensuring unique serialization within the enterprise identifier.

  • Supportive housing means housing with no limit on length of stay, that is occupied by the target population, and that is linked to an onsite or offsite service that assists the supportive housing resident in retaining the housing, improving his or her health status, and maximizing his or her ability to live and, when possible, work in the community.
