"Victim of domestic violence" also includes any person, regardless of age, who has been subjected to domestic violence by a person with whom the victim has a child in common, or with whom the victim anticipates having a child in common, if one of the parties is pregnant. "Victim of domestic violence" also includes any person who has been subjected to domestic violence by a person with whom the victim has had a dating relationship.

  • Sexual abuse means actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.

  • Sexual violence means any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened or attempted against a person without the person’s consent, and includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, stealthing, indecent exposure, voyeurism and sexual exploitation.

  • Most serious offense means any of the following felonies

  • Sexually violent offense means an offense for which a conviction has been entered for any of the following indictable offenses:

  • Serious offense means any of the following felonies or a felony attempt to commit any of the following felonies, as now existing or hereafter amended:

  • serious offence means: (a) a crime or offence involving the death of a person; (b) a sex-related offence or a crime, including sexual assault (whether against an adult or child); child pornography, or an indecent act involving a child; (c) fraud, money laundering, insider dealing or any other financial offence or crime, including those under legislation relating to companies, banking, insurance or other financial services; or (d) an attempt to commit a crime or offence described in (a) to (c);

  • Family violence means conduct as defined by S.7 of the Family Violence Act 2004.

  • Alcohol Use Disorder means a disease that is characterized by a pattern of pathological use of alcohol with repeated attempts to control its use, and with negative consequences in at least one of the following areas of life: medical, legal, financial, or psycho-social; or

  • Addiction means a primary, chronic, neurobiologic disease, with genetic, psychosocial, and environmental factors influencing its development and manifestations. It is characterized by behaviors that include the following: impaired control over drug use, craving, compulsive use, and continued use despite harm. Physical dependence and tolerance are normal physiological consequences of extended opioid therapy for pain and are not the same as addiction.

  • Commercial sexual activity means any sex act on account of which anything of value is given to, promised to, or received by any person.

  • Sexual assault has the same meaning as in RCW 70.125.030.

  • Workplace violence means any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted during the course of his or her employment, and includes but is not limited to all forms of harassment, bullying, intimidation and intrusive behaviours of a physical or emotional nature.

  • alleged offender means a person accused of engaging in Prohibited Conduct under this Policy, prior to a determination by the Hearing Panel.

  • Substance use disorder professional means a person
