Supplementary Appropriation Act definition

Supplementary Appropriation Act means an Act passed in accordance with Article 154 (3) of the Constitution, the purpose of which is to supplement an appropriation granted by an Appropriation Act;
Supplementary Appropriation Act means any Act, the purpose of which is to supplement the appropriation already granted by an Appropriation Act.
Supplementary Appropriation Act means an Act to appropriate sums of money necessary to meet the supplementary estimates of expenditure for services in a financial year in accordance with Article 130 of the Constitution;

Examples of Supplementary Appropriation Act in a sentence

  • The appropriations made by the Appropriation Act or any Supplementary Appropriation Act shall lapse at the end of the financial year to which that Act relates, or at the end of such longer period as that Act may have prescribed in relation to a particular program area.

  • If the amount so advanced has not already been appropriated by a Supplementary Appropriation Act, the budget estimates for the next succeeding financial year shall include provision for such an appropriation.

  • No moneys shall be withdrawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation except to meet expenditure that is charged upon the fund by this Constitution or where the issue of those moneys has been authorised by an Appropriation Act, Supplementary Appropriation Act or an Act passed in pursuance of section 81 of this Constitution.

  • Nothing in subsection (5) shall be taken as authorising the withdrawal from the Treasury Fund, for expenditure under any division of expenditure, moneys exceeding in total the amount appropriated under that division by the Appropriation Act and any Supplementary Appropriation Act for the financial year to which a direction under that subsection relates.

  • During the Financial Year, reserves shall not be drawn down beyond the levels approved by the Assembly in the Appropriation Act, or any subsequent Supplementary Appropriation Act.
