Successor Sponsor definition

Successor Sponsor means an entity that succeeds the Index Sponsor and continues calculation and publication of the Index, provided such Successor Sponsor is acceptable to Bank of Montreal;

Successor Sponsor means, in relation to the Underlying, a third party that may be responsible for the calculation and/or the management and/or the issuance of the Underlying in the place of the Index Sponsor.

Successor Sponsor has the meaning specified in the fourth recital hereto.

Examples of Successor Sponsor in a sentence

• The consequences of such Adjustment Event may be, in each case that the relevant Index will be the index so calculated and announced by such Successor Sponsor or that successor index, as the case may be.

• Any Index is not calculated or announced by the Index Sponsor specified under the heading "Underlying" in the Product Terms but is calculated by a successor sponsor (the " Successor Sponsor") acceptable to the Calculation Agent.

• If the Index is no longer composed by the Index Sponsor but by another person, company or institution acceptable to the Issuer as the new Index Sponsor (the "Successor Sponsor"), the redemption of the Certificates will be determined on the basis of the Index being composed by the Successor Sponsor and any reference made to the Index Sponsor shall, if the context so admits, then refer to the Successor Sponsor.

• If the Index is no longer calculated and published by the Index Sponsor but by another person, company or institution acceptable to the Issuer as the new Index Sponsor (the " Successor Sponsor"), the redemption of the Notes will be determined on the basis of the Index being calculated and published by the Successor Sponsor and any reference made to the Index Sponsor shall, if the context so admits, then refer to the Successor Sponsor.
