Successor Index definition

Successor Index means any substitute index approved by the Calculation Agent as a Successor Index pursuant to Section 3 hereof.

  • Notice shall be given of the Successor Index and the date on which it first applies in accordance with No. 4 of the General Conditions.

  • If in the reasonable discretion of the Issuer it is not possible, for any reason whatsoever, to adjust the Option Right or to specify a Successor Index, then the Issuer or an expert appointed by the Issuer will be responsible for the continued calculation and publication of the Underlying on the basis of the existing index concept and the most recent value determined for the Index, subject to any Termination of the Warrants pursuant to No. 2 of the General Conditions.

  • All references in these Terms and Conditions to the Index shall then be deemed, insofar as the context allows, to be references to the Successor Index.

  • If the Index is discontinued at any time and/or replaced by another Index, the Issuer in its reasonable discretion shall specify the other Index as the Underlying which will be used in future for the Option Right (the " Successor Index"), where necessary adjusting the Option Right in accordance with paragraph (4) of this No. 6.

  • If the CPI is permanently cancelled or is not calculated and announced by a Successor Sponsor or replaced by a Successor Index, then the calculation agent will notify the trustee, us and the holders of the notes and will calculate the appropriate levels of the CPI in a commercially reasonable manner.


More Definitions of Successor Index

Successor Index shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3(a) of this Annex A.
Successor Index means where the Index is (i) not calculated and announced by the Index Sponsor but is calculated and announced by a successor sponsor acceptable to the Calculation Agent or (ii) replaced by a successor index using, in the determination of the Calculation Agent, the same or a substantially similar formula for and method of calculation as used in the calculation of the Index, such successor index or index calculated and announced by the successor sponsor.
Successor Index means any successor or substitute index approved by the Calculation Agent as a Successor Index pursuant to Section 3 on the face of this Security.
Successor Index means a Successor Index as defined under the section “Description of the NotesReference Index Discontinuation; Alteration of Method of Calculation; No Longer Underlying Reference Asset of a Futures or Option Contract” in this Product Supplement.
Successor Index. Means the index determined by the Calculation Agent as comparable to the S&P 500 Index in the event that Dow Jones discontinues the publication of the S&P 500 Index or another entity publishes a successor or substitute index.
