The provisions of this Section do not apply to an established holding company acquiring control of a State savings bank if the transaction is subject to approval under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, the federal Home Owners' Loan Act, or Section 3 of the federal Bank Holding Company Act.
Authority to join federal reserve bank.A State savings bank may subscribe to the capital stock and become a member of a federal reserve bank.
