Orthotic definition

Orthotic means a custom made brace or external device made for a weak, Diseased or injured body part. An Orthotic can increase, decrease or eliminate motion or support the weak, Diseased or injured body part.
Orthotic means a brace or support but does not include fabric and elastic supports, corsets, arch supports, trusses, elastic hoses, canes, crutches, cervical collars, dental appliances, or other similar devices.
Orthotic. “prosthetic,” and “orthotic and prosthetic devices” (“O&P”) shall have the meanings described in 42 U.S.C. §§ 1395x(s)(8) and (9).
