Orthotic device definition

Orthotic device means a custom-fitted or custom-fabricated medical device that is applied to a part of the human body to correct a deformity, improve function, or relieve symptoms of a disease.
Orthotic device means a piece of special equipment designed to straighten a deformed or distorted part of the human body, such as corrective shoes or braces. An orthotic device is an orthopedic device.
Orthotic device means an apparatus used to support, align, prevent or correct deformities or to improve the function of movable parts of the body.

Other practitioner as used in your Schedule of Benefits and related to mental health/substance use disorder services, means a mental health or substance use disorder provider licensed/certified by the state in which care is being rendered and performing services within the scope of that license/certification.
Orthotic device means an external device that is: a.) Intended to restore physiological function or cosmesis to a patient; and b) custom-designed, fabricated, assembled, fitted, or adjusted for the patient using the device prior to or concurrent with the delivery of the device to the patient.
Orthotic device means a custom fabricated or fitted medical device used to support, correct, or alleviate neuromuscular or musculoskeletal dysfunction, disease, injury, or deformity.
